Blythe Mariano is a calligraphy artist that started studying the art of handwriting and hand lettering in 2004. She is a mixed media artist that enjoys creating canvas paintings, personalized name writings, and other hand crafts. Blythe is a member of the Navajo Nation and was raised on the reservation near Gallup, NM. She received her Masters Degree in Social Work fromArizona State University in 2015. Her inspirations are derived from Social Work, Science, Technology, and Music. Her canvas paintings are inspired by the works of Carl Sagan, John Trudell, Thich Nhat Hanh, and the Dalai Lama; including many other musicians, poets, artists, writers, and social justice advocates. Blythe currently resides in Albuquerque, NM where she continues to self- educate, create artwork, and develop herself as an artist as well as a person.
