Stephen Forrest is a 39 year old artist in Albuquerque, NM. He is a full time artist from Albuquerque and teaches Art at Manzano High School. He graduated from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts with an emphasis on filmmaking. He has pursued the arts since his childhood and he believes being an artist is a commission from God. Though some of his work does make strong, political, and social statements he also pursues other subjects such as nature, the human form, as well as abstracts. Perhaps what brings all of his work together is his bold use of bright colors. Much of his work contains all the colors of the rainbow despite what subject or topic he includes. Stephen believes art can heal and art can hurt, you just have to know where to aim it!
