Bill Beaumont
Mixed Media Artist
Bill Beaumontís paintings reflect the landscapes of his home in New Mexico. Over the course of his life, he has studied drawing and painting with artists from the southwest. As with impressionism, Bill strives to capture the high thin air lighting conditions found in New Mexico and its effects on color and contrast. An avid hiker, many of his paintings are scenes that he has captured from those trips around New Mexico. In addition to painting landscapes, He likes to include the animals or the buildings that are common to the New Mexico area such as sheep, cows, churches, and old store fronts. After retiring from the Navy, Bill returned to Albuquerque and resumed his love of painting.
